Cambodia Tens Teams Confirmed

The international Cambodia 10’s is fast approaching, and we are happy to say that it is going to be the biggest tournament held for many years. We have 18 teams confirmed with approximately 300 players participating. The tournament takes place over two days (November 1st and 2nd) featuring the Senior Men’s tournament, Old Boys tournament as well as youth exhibition games that involves some of the children that Kampuchea Balopp works with and a Women’s exhibition game and Touch Rugby exhibition game which makes this the most inclusive Angkor Tens for years.

Kampuchea Balopp has proudly taken over the organisation of the CAMBODIA 10’s in 2014 and will use Cambodia’s biggest rugby festival to:
Raise funding through the CAMBODIA 10’s event for Kampuchea Balopp activities
Increase our awareness & development in Cambodia
Restore the image of CAMBODIA 10’s tournament as one of the top South East Asia Rugby events
Increase the number of participants

With last years champions the Hong Kong based Rhinos RFC unable to return to defend their title there is extra motivation for all the teams to go for the title and the Cambodian based teams will hope to have their first Angkor Tens winner since 2008 when the Les Pilliers d’Angkor took the title.

Kampuchea Balopp will be proudly be represented by their Kampuchea Baabaas team which will include its 3 Cambodian male coaches Ra, Khemrin and Khemera, NGO founders Nicolas Olivry and JB Suberbie and Communication Manager Steve Noble as well as fantastic players coming from Fiji, US, Australia, US, Argentina, South Africa and more.

More information about the event will be released over the coming weeks and we hope to see many local Cambodians and expats supporting this fantastic event which will have market stalls, food and drink available.

We would like to thank our confirmed sponsors & partners ANZ ROYAL, IMPACT PROWEAR and International SOS with more details on partners and sponsors to be announced.
